What to Expect as We Begin Elevating the Journey

At Festiva, our motto is Let the Journey Begin, but starting this year, we’ll be Elevating the Journey.

We’ll be enhancing the experience for all Festiva owners, members and guests by completing renovations, upgrades and adding amenities at some of our most popular resorts, at an overall investment of approximately $18.5 million to the company. Some upgrades have already taken place or are in progress and others have longer term goals of completion, but all of them will enhance your family’s vacation experience while visiting our resorts.

We invite you to take a look at some of the exciting new things happening as we work hard on Elevating the Journey:

Ellington at Wachesaw Plantation East in Murrells Inlet, S.C.: At Festiva’s flagship property, all rooms will be completely renovated top to bottom in a new, vibrant beach décor, with work being done in the off-seasons during winter this year and next. Completion for room renovation is scheduled to be completed by spring 2019. The property will see additional upgrades and improvements with Festiva’s recent acquisition of the Wachesaw East Golf Course and East Grill & Pub. A new outdoor amenities area will be built on the property that is estimated for completion in 2018.

Church Street Inn in Charleston, S.C.:  Down the coast in Charleston, renovations have been completed to a new owner lounge, coffee and wine bar off the lobby, giving owners more space to relax during their stay.

Coconut Palms II in New Smyrna Beach, FL: Twenty-two units in the Royal Palms building will be renovated, and a five-year plan has been implemented for remaining unit renovations. The sales center will be remodeled by the end of 2017, and the always popular Tiki Hut will see updates, including the recent acquisition of a beer and wine license.

Festiva Orlando Resort in Orlando, FL: Two buildings will be renovated in 2018, with an overhaul to the clubhouse and added outdoor amenities as well.

Cabins at Green Mountain in Branson, MO: This favorite of Festiva members and guests for many years will see unit renovations and upgrades throughout the property as well as the replacement of the clubhouse pool and other upgraded amenities.

It is our goal to make renovations and upgrades as seamless as possible, with few disruptions to the Festiva service you expect and deserve. We’ve put a lot of thought and research into what owners want, and we sincerely hope you enjoy the new amenities and upgrades. From our family to yours, let’s toast to Elevating the Journey!

Continue to visit the Festiva Blog, where we will post the latest updates on renovations at all of our properties, including timelines, photos and more throughout the process. We will also send occasional emails to members with updates, so be sure we have your current email address.

    1. Ms. Kelly, Thank you for contacting Festiva. While we are always looking for opportunities to expand our resort roster, we have yet to obtain a Key West property. Please keep in mind, you are welcome to vacation outside of the Festiva family through an exchange company (such as RTX) for additional travel options. .

  1. What are your plans for Peppertree Atlantic Beach / Myrtle Beach? Also will we still be able to use our points at Banner Elk?

    1. Ms. Jenkins, Thank you for contacting Festiva. The capital improvements project includes upgrades over the next several years at various locations, with future plans for improvements at even more resorts. We will be updating the blog with the latest information about this project. In regards to your concerns about the use of points at Blue Ridge Village, over the next three years FAC members will still be able to make reservations at this property using your FAC points. Please note, FAC members are welcome to exchange their points through RTX for several properties in Banner Elk and the surrounding N.C. High Country.

  2. The Church Steet Inn needs more than a new lounge. The room we stayed in 2 weeks ago was very shabby. Also, does this mean our fees will be even more exorbitant???

    1. Ms. Jacenko, Thank you for contacting Festiva to inquire about the Church Street Inn. Throughout the past several years, renovations have been made to the majority of the units at this property and only a few remain left to complete. The capital improvements project includes future plans for improvements at the Church Street Inn and even more resorts.

  3. Can you please tell me what are the most recently updated rooms at Church Street Inn, and which rooms have King beds vs. (2) double/queen beds. A list of this information would be most helpful to Church Street Inn owners. I have not rec’d any communication regarding Church Street. I am an every other year owner….last visit being in 2016, and I agree with the comment by Ms. Sherry Jacenko from 9/2/17. We have owned since 2006 and I have noticed each year the units seem to be very well worn…we have experienced, lose wall plugs, pieces of broken tile, paint and woodwork chipped, ripped lampshade etc…We will be visiting again during our week in February 2018 and I am hoping to find things better maintained. I did read on the blog about the owners lounge so that is good news and a step in the right direction to stay competitive with all the other great properties Charleston has to offer. (Also, I am a deeded owner who owns a Prime Week 7 week in Februrary, every other year (even years), and having a calendar showing the weeks would be helpful.) Is it possible calendars can be mailed out to the owners whose use is still based on weeks as we have not and are not interested in converting to points. Thank you for your information.
