As we continue to monitor hurricane Irma’s path, we have updates for the resorts in our coastal South Carolina locations. Remember, the path of the storm is unpredictable and can change very quickly. Stay informed via local weather channels and the national hurricane center.
As of this writing, the outlook for the South Carolina Coast has greatly improved. Here’s the latest information as of 12 noon on Friday, Sept. 8. We will update this post after 5 p.m. today.
Church Street Inn, Charleston, SC:
The resort is not accepting check-ins as of now, but is planning on normal operations for current guests through Sunday. There is no mandatory evacuation of the city ordered yet, but Interstate 26 is scheduled for a lane reversal on Saturday morning- all lanes will be open westbound only.
Ellington at Wachesaw Plantation East Resort, Murrells Inlet, SC:
Ellington is not accepting check-ins for today, but will be issuing updates tonight after the hurricane’s path is re-evaluated. Like at Church Street, normal operations are underway for all guests on site. The resort staff is optimistic, but also cautious and will keep guests informed as conditions change.
As always, the safety of our resort employees and guests is our primary focus.
