Hurricane Irma: Reservation Updates, Resources, and What to do If You Have a Florida Vacation Planned

We want to let all of our owners, members and guests know that we are keeping a close eye on the movement of Hurricane Irma. Please know that we are in close communication with our resort managers at all our properties in Florida and the Alabama coast, and our priority is the safety of all of our guests currently on-site as well as our employees at these resorts.

As this historic storm bears down on the state of Florida, visitors and residents alike are advised to follow the safest course of action: evacuate immediately. The storm is currently a category 5 hurricane, and Florida Gov. Rick Scott has declared a state of emergency.

We will be sending updates via email as often as possible to all members and guests with incoming reservations over the next week. Please note that we will post the most current information here on the Festiva blog and on Festiva’s Facebook page.

At this time, for Festiva members with reservations at any Florida resorts from now until September 13, we strongly advise you not to travel to the area until further notice. This includes Festiva Orlando Resort, Vacation Villas at Fantasyworld, and Blue Heron Beach Resort in the Orlando area, Coconut Palms II in New Smyrna Beach, and Ocean Gate at Hibiscus in St. Augustine.

To discuss your reservation options, please contact us directly. FAC members should call the Festiva Member Service Team at 866-933-7848. Weeks owners should contact Owner Services at 855-411-9335. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause our travelers.

We encourage you to keep an eye on Irma’s path as you consider your travel plans to this area over the next week. The National Hurricane Center is posting daily updates at 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. EST. Visit www.nhc.noaa.gov for the latest updates.

  1. We are to check in at Orange Beach, Alabama this Sunday, September 10. Now sure how the hurricane is affecting this reservation due to having to come through some of the evacuating areas, gas shortage, and if the storm will affect Orange Beach. Could you please let me know what our options are. We are in South Carolina.

    1. Hi Richard;
      At this time Orange Beach is out of the predicted path of the storm; however, we certainly understand your concerns about traveling. If you are a Festiva Adventure Club member, please contact the FAC Member Service team at 866-933-7848 to discuss your options. Please let me know if you have any questions.
