Cape Cod Maritime Days
When: May 1 – 31, 2018
Where: Towns and venues all across Cape Cod
Admission: Many events free
The annual Maritime Days festival heralds summer by the sea with a month-long celebration dedicated to our rich seafaring heritage. During Maritime Days on Cape Cod, events and special activities take place in nearly every town. Some highlights include harbor cruises, guided kayak tours, special museum and gallery exhibitions, a Maritime History Symposium, and much more.

Lighthouse Tours at Highland Light
When: Daily beginning in mid-May
Where: Highland Light (more formally known as “Cape Cod Lighthouse”), North Truro
Admission: Adult $4; Youth and Senior $3
At Highland Light, the oldest working lighthouse on the east coast, a winding staircase leads from the base to the lantern room. The view from the top is spectacular! For anyone who’s not able (or inclined) to climb the stairs, there’s an interesting little museum and memorabilia area at the base that’s well worth seeing.

Nantucket Wine & Food Fest
When: May 16-20
Five days of food and wine on Cape Cod, what more could you want?

New England Blues Summit
When: May 18-20
The New England Blues Summit is a full 3 day all-inclusive weekend getaway.

Martha’s Vineyard Marathon and 1/2 Marathon
When: May 19
Now you have a reason to make this bucket-list destination race your “RUN-CATION.”  Martha’s Vineyard offers 2 beautiful courses for both the half and the full marathon that showcase this amazing island in Massachusetts.

Rhododendron Festival
When: May 26 – June 3, 2018
Thousands of world-famous rhododendrons in over 100 varieties and an explosion of color cover 100 acres with spectacular blooms.

Figawi Race Weekend
When: May 26-28, 2018
Where: Hyannis / Nantucket
The annual “Figawi” Regatta is recognized as one of the premier yacht regattas on the east coast. This exciting race attracts more than 200 boats per year.
