Festiva destinations are located near some of the best natural areas in the country. The ocean, the mountains, the lakes and rivers of this great country are all nearby and yours for exploring. That’s why we’ve selected these beautiful places as vacation spots.
A recent survey from the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) and conducted by research group Leger, found that more than half (54%) of Americans enjoy fitness activities while on vacation, and timeshare owners are leading this group with nine out of 10 stating they perform fitness activities on vacation. In addition to their proximity to fitness-friendly activities, which we’ll discuss shortly, timeshares offer fully equipped kitchens for healthy, local, fresh meals, the square footage needed for a quick in room workout without disturbing others, and longer stays with which to try different fitness activities.
On this Fitness Friday, let’s shine a spotlight on some of the fun family activities near our resort locations that you can do to stay active on your next vacation.
Staying Active in the Wisconsin Dells
When staying at Festiva’s Tamarack Resort, there are lots of ways to stay active other than walking the bustling downtown area. Wisconsin hibernates during the long winter, but when summer comes, it’s time to go outside and play, and the Dells are a great place to do that.
See the beauty of Wisconsin’s outdoors with numerous hiking trails among the interesting rock formations and scenic lakes. Devil’s Lake State Park, Mirror Lake State Park, and Arbor State Park all offer a variety of trails to suit every skill level of hiker.
For something a little more fast paced, Vertical Illusions has ziplines, climbing tours, rock climbing, kayak and paddle boarding. They offer thrills in all seasons, and it’s a great way to experience the natural scenery of the Dells.
There’s another way to get your heart pumping, and you won’t even have to leave your seat. The Wild Thing jet boat ride takes you on a screaming ride through the Upper Dells of the Wisconsin River. With this Wet and Wild Dells boat tour, you can expect Power Stops, 360° spins, and sprays of water that splash over the front of the boat!
