Greetings, Festiva travelers. Are you going to Myrtle Beach soon? Let’s take a look at all the wonderful festivals in store for this month and beyond at this beach destination.
Through August 18: Brookgreen Summer Lights Festival
Based on famous Chinese Lantern Festivals, this exhibit will inhabit Brookgreen’s Lowcountry Zoo with larger-than-life, illuminated silk lantern sculptures in a variety of native animals, insects, and plants. The festival will also include games, performances, crafts for kids, and local food truck vendors.
August 31- Sept 1: Beach, Boogie & BBQ Festival
This two-day family-friendly event is held every Labor Day weekend. Free beach music concerts, jet-ski demonstrations, arts and crafts vendors, and more are festival highlights. Be sure not to miss Saturday’s barbecue competition-when over 75 pit masters compete in a cook-off!

Myrtle Beach Pelicans minor league baseball games. Class A-(advanced) affiliate of the Chicago Cubs.
Through Sept 1: Summerfest at Barefoot Landing
Barefoot Landing, North Myrtle Beach’s waterway center, featuring a wide variety of specialty shops, restaurants and entertainment, presents SummerFest! June 1 through September 1. This year’s summer-long event showcases a new musical experience, Dockside Live!, featuring live bands and musicians, as well as several returning favorites from years past.
Through Sept 2: Summer Nights at Broadway at the Beach
Myrtle Beach’s most visited attraction, Broadway at the Beach, will feature Summer Nights June 1 through September 2. This free, nightly entertainment series offers live musical performances, street performers, character appearances and other live entertainment at various locations within Broadway at the Beach.
Through Sept 3: Myrtle Beach Hot Summer Nights
Hot Summer Nights will have live entertainment each night. There will also be fireworks on Wednesday nights at 10 PM.
Through Sept 30: Surfside Beach Sunday Serenades
Every Sunday in the summer, weather permitting, hear some our great local musicians in an outdoor concert in the park in Surfside Beach. Passive Park is located across from the Surfside Beach Library.
