Bandshell Concert Series, Daytona Beach
Through Sept. 21
This concert Series runs every Friday night. Concerts begin at 7 p.m. Tickets for each Friday night are $3 for general admission; $10 for VIP (includes a chair) plus applicable fees. Children under 10 are free.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Walt Disney World
Aug. 17-Oct. 31
The special event at the Magic Kingdom will be held on select dates on 32 nights through October 31. The event again will include the “Happy HalloWishes” fireworks display, Mickey’s Boo-to-You Halloween Parade and the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” stage show in front of Cinderella Castle.
Downtown DeLand Classic Car Cruise-In, DeLand
Every third Saturday of the month classic cars and rods line East Indiana Avenue in Downtown DeLand. Includes a live DJ, giveaways, shopping and dining. 4 to 7 p.m. Free.
Magical Dining Month, Orlando
Aug. 24-Sept. 30
Visit Orlando’s Magical Dining Month, named “Best Foodie City in the Nation” by Wallethub, in its 13th year. The promotion is offered at more than 100 area restaurants with $35 prixe-fixe three-course meals. One dollar from each meal served during Magical Dining is being donated to this year’s charities, Freedom Ride and BASE Camp Children’s Cancer Foundation.
Wine Walk & Art Walk, New Smyrna Beach
Stroll Flagler Avenue and explore over 100 interesting wines inside local pubs, galleries and restaurants during this monthly progressive wine tasting event. $25 Tasting Passports on sale day of the event at three locations along Flagler Avenue. Discount with official glass from a previous Wine Walk. In conjunction with ArtWalk with displays of art works by resident and visiting artists, along with entertainment and demonstrations.
Mount Dora Seafood Festival, Mount Dora
This 4th annual festival features seafood, music, kids’ activities and pirates. Begins at 11 a.m. both days.
Climb to the Moon, Ponce Inlet
Climb to the Moon at Ponce Inlet Lighthouse offers views of the sunset and moonrise from atop Florida’s tallest lighthouse on a select day each month. The lighthouse keeper relates the story of this National Historic Landmark, and visitors can enjoy beverages and hors d’oeuvres. Epcot International Food and Wine Festival, Walt Disney World
Aug. 30-Nov. 12
The annual food and wine lover’s paradise offers beverages from close to 30 global marketplaces. Also on tap are celebrity chef demonstrations and rock star performances during the Eat to the Beat concert series.
