Palm Beach Resort Has Received a Refreshed Exterior, Other Updates Planned

Greetings, Festiva travelers. We have exciting news to share about
Palm Beach Resort, one of our two resorts in Orange Beach, Alabama.

This resort lies steps from the ocean. It’s a fantastic location, but mother nature takes its toll on exterior surfaces over time. This is why Palm Beach Resort has been undergoing exterior repairs and updates to both beautify the buildings and keep up with the normal maintenance that is required of an oceanfront property.

We’ve gotten a lot of work finished so far, and wanted to give you a progress update on what’s been done, and what is yet to come.

Here’s a list of the completed work:

The north side of the building and all the common hallways have been painted.

Dryer vents have been replaced on walkways, as well as the walls that have been painted in the A/B courtyard.

The walkways on floors 2-5 have all been painted.

The A/B courtyard is nearly complete with all balconies, ceiling to floor painted and sealed. New turtle-friendly lights have been installed on most of these balconies.

Here’s a list of what’s to come:

New balcony handrails are arriving this week, meaning we will begin closing balconies in both buildings in preparation for their installation.

Handrails for some of the common walkways have been delivered, with installation in the next two weeks.

With the progress of the A/B courtyard moving ahead we are staging and working on the C/D courtyard now. We will monitor the pool impacts and leave it open temporarily before moving to closure. Once closed, the A/B pool will reopen for use.

Our projected completion for the exterior renovations at Palm Beach Resort is April 23, 2019. This is heavily dependent on weather.

Workers will be sticking to a strict construction schedule to minimize guest impact, but be aware, the work being done can be noisy at times.

Work days will continue Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., with restrictions to noisy work beginning after 8 a.m. Saturday and Sunday will see an 8 a.m. start time, with noisy work to begin after 9 a.m.

We thank you for your understanding, and can’t wait to see the finished product!

  1. Would love it if you could add some fun things to do….shuffleboard courts ect. Can only sit on the beach or by the pools for so many hours a day
