Hurricane Dorian Update | A Report on Resort Openings

Good afternoon, Festiva travelers.

It seems the worst of Hurricane Dorian is over, but the storm is still hovering off the coast of the Outer Banks, North Carolina. Florida and South Carolina got away with mostly minor flooding and wind damage. We are still waiting for a report from Atlantic Beach, North Carolina.

Our Myrtle Beach resorts fared well.

Ellington at Wachesaw Plantation East is open and receiving guest arrivals today. Wachesaw Plantation East golf course was closed today (9/6) due to tree branches large and small on the course, and is planning to reopen tomorrow morning.

Sandpebble Beach Club, Sea Mystique, and Ocean Club were exposed right on the beach, and will remain closed until Sept. 13 while they clean up.

Church Street Inn in Charleston will be accepting guests on Monday, Sept. 9. The Inn was spared any flooding, which is better than anticipated given the large tides and amount of rain.

We thank you for your patience in the wake of this storm.
