Wednesday Hurricane Dorian Update | Florida & Charleston

Here’s the latest from our resort teams regarding Hurricane Dorian:

The Orlando/Kissimmee properties have no damage and are proceeding with business as usual.

Our St. Augustine and New Smyrna Beach resorts remain closed as those areas are under a mandatory evacuation and the storm is still passing over the coast.

The Orlando International Airport will reopen at 12 noon today, September 4.

In Charleston, S.C., the Church Street Inn will be closed to arrivals until Wednesday, September 11. While they are not anticipating much damage from the wind, the King Tides combined with the storm surge will likely bring flooding to downtown. This timeline should give us enough time to assess and repair anticipated water intrusion at the resort.

We hope to have another update later today from the Florida and South Carolina coasts. As a reminder, if you have a reservation at any resort on the coasts of Florida or South Carolina through this weekend, please contact the entity that confirmed the reservation to discuss your options.
