Atlantic Beach Resort’s Re-emergence as a Premier North Carolina Beach Getaway is Well Underway

2020 is a new decade. It sounds futuristic, full of optimism and prosperity. It’s also going to be a great year at Atlantic Beach Resort, as that will be the year the resort reopens after being crippled with devastating flooding from Hurricane Florence in 2018.

We’ve shared concept photos of the resort renovations in the past, now we’d like to share progress photos of the construction. The photos below were taken this week in AB2, building 15.

The two feet of rain that Hurricane Florence dumped on the property ruined the interior, and it had to be redone down to the studs to avoid future mold problems. HVAC, drywall, plumbing, electrical and other experts had to be called in to replace it all, in a town that had no shortage of resort repair work to offer. We’re pleased to finally show you progress photos from this arduous repair process, and we’re confident that Atlantic Beach Resort will spring back to life better than ever, forming beach vacation memories for decades to come.

It’s getting there, and we hope you’re as excited as we are to see the finished product.

  1. This is my favorite resort. Please advise when I can resume booking vacations there.
Last year I lost 2 weeks vacation due to complications of construction. I’m not complaining and do understand but I don’t want to book again and find out rooms are still not available.
Thank you. Loyal customer since 1984
